Not many of you live anywhere around here, or know who this young author is. However, she attends my school and wrote an opinion piece last week in our schools Newspaper, The Comment. I am writing about this today because being held on campus is a rally to support the young author and to show those who committed the hate crime that we will not back down, that we will not be scared off and that most people today support gay rights. I'm not saying everyone does, but the day Thursday I recieved an invitation to rally being held in her honor, and to support gay rights, being held on campus because the author was attacked due to her article entitled "Prop 8 Generates Hate".
According to the Huffington Post article, and many other news sources such as NECN, ABC and the Boston Globe just to name a few who have heard of this incident, the young author was approached Thursday night under the train bridge by a man and a woman and the exchange started out pleasant enough. The author was asked if she was a writer for the comment, and if she had written that piece. When the author answered yes, the female attacked her she says. The author went on to where she was going with a black eye, to a meeting for The Comment, and she told the students and faculty advisor there what had happened.
I am writing this article today instead of celeb gossip because these issues are really important to me, as I am an ally and support gay rights. Gay people are no different than anyone of us, they just want the same things we do. And for those of you saying its unconstitutional, nowhere does the Constitution mention what is allowed in marriage, it says its state determined, but if its not mentioned, and unconstitutional is againts the constitution how can it be against something that doesnt mention it?
Update: The rally went very well. More than 400 people showed, some professors and alumni amongst the students. Unfortunately, I only was able to hear the Reverand of the Universalist Unitarian Church on campus speak before I had to leave for class but it was amazing to see that show of support. And many media outlets were there aside from NECN local news, and the student paper along with student broadcast station.

Break Ups and Make Ups
According to researchers of analytical data on the Facebook team, there is a list of songs that is preferred when people either break up, or start to date. This makes sense, though some of the songs did surprise me. For your benefit, I will post the list too, with a link to the song if anyone is unfamilar with the title. She is getting back at ex-hubby funny man and muscian Russell Brand in her new song according to Huffington Post. Russell filed for divorce in December though the documet does not state a date of seperation. Apparently the very seemingly happy couple spent Christmas apart and neither was sporting their bling according to TMZ. In interviews Katy has been pretty stable about the whole thing but at the Grammy's in the debut of her new song "Part of Me" it is very clear that she is very hurt, and by Russell.

Rebirth
Hey all! I am so sorry to my loyal followers for wicked dropping off the radar, but I moved in September to a place without internet but now due to my boyfriend's brother going into surgery we moved into his parents basement (with internet) and I shall come back full force! Not just because of that though, also because while I was in Rhode Island I started attending The First Spiritualist Church of Rhode Island in East Providence, and I was told that somehow I would end up doing something creative and be successful at it, and it is something that I kinda gave up on, and to me, that seems to be this because I enjoyed this but gave up on it with other stuff happening in my life, so now I am back!
I have been catching up/watching Teen Mom 2 which features Jenelle, Chelsea, Leah and Kailyn of the second season of "16 and Pregnant" and I believe the fourth season is coming out relatively soon. I watch it on the computer a few days afterwards though, so look out for posts in the following days after Tuesday. The finale is scheduled for this week.
I shall two different pieces today, one will be a quick tribute to the recently deceased Whitney Houston, who was only 48 and lived a rather hard life. ooThe other piece, because Valentines Day is tomorrow, 2012's most datable stars.
According to the article linked in the title found on OMG Yahoo, Whitney died in her hotel room at 48 with no signs of criminal intent. Originally Ms. Houston was known for her amazing majestic voice on the hit single "I Will Always Love You", but younger generations know her from her erratic behaviour and odd marriage to Bobby Brown which was seen on Being Bobby Brown. Whats interesting, however, is that just the day before she went to the Grammy's rehearsals and was thinking of making an appearance as it is her favorite time of the year according to her rep in the article. The cause is stilly unknown. RIP Whitney Houston, us 80s lovers will always miss you!
Next, to end with a more cheery topic, 2012's most kissable stars (at least the Top 5)! This information was found on ExtraTV's website.
#5: Megan Fox. She became very well known in a much prettier version of what we see now in my opinion with the Terminator movie starring alongside Shia LeBouf of "Even Stevens" fame. She can spotted in other hit pop-type movies. She also now sports quite a few tats. The pic below is the older her, some work around the mouth maybe though.

He has been in a wide range of films, even animations such as Corpse Bride, or musicals like Sweeny Tide. Many people now know and recognize him as Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of Caribbean movies.
And, finally the ever anticipated #1: George Clooney. I say it depends on the movie.

Drama Drama Drama
Since tonight is Big Brother 8 on CBS here in America, I figured I'd restart my blog by talking about news from my favorite reality shows. I shall talk about "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" (linked by title), shortened to RHOBH, even though I much prefer the New Jersey edition, so I might insert some information about that. I will also mention "Teen Mom" as well as "The Glee Project" although that show ended with an awesome finally last week on Sunday.
First up, the RHOBH story. Producers of the hit Bravo TV series which follows Adrienne Maloof (my favorite, she is definitely the most realistic out of all the Housewives in my opinion), Camille Grammar, Kim and Kyle Richards (sisters related to the Hiltons), Lisa Vanderpump (my second favorite) and Taylor Armstrong in their fantastically rich lives, are saying that despite the recent tragedy that has befallen Taylor and estranged husband Russel, the Sept 5th premiere is still going to air. Recently, it has come to light that Russel Armstrong committed suicide. Since the episodes were filmed much prior to this, producers say that they have taped new interviews with the ladies to add to the premiere. THis is very sad, and I am surprised they are going forward. If anyone you know seems depressed or threatning to harm themselves inform them of the Suicide Prenvention Hotline and urge to them call: 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
As I said I prefer the New Jersey one so a tidbit on them. Would you purchase or try the Manzo's new product, black water? Now, I think Chris and Albie are two pretty smart boys so I was surprised that they had become interested in the product that sounded so..gross so I did some research. Turns out its water that is collected from tropical rainforests that have natural decay, giving new and medicinal minerals to the water. Read more about it at the website.
Next on my list is "Teen Mom." I just watched the latest episode today, as I watch it a day after online. Maci is by far my favorite as a mother with child but Catelynn and Tyler were definitely the smartest. Currently, I think Maci is being stupid by post-poning her education, but it is her life. What did you guys think when Ryan told Kyle about the job? Do you think he was being a prick or genuine? In the preview for the upcoming season, I was shocked to hear Catelynn say that she didn't think it was gonna work out, seemingly about them as a couple since they've been doing so well..but who knows what it was. I was not shocked to find out about Amber's arrest though. She was arrested for the beating of Gary, and is in jail with a 5K bail according to TMZ. Recently, as of May, Gary was also arrested according to this article for driving with a suspended license. The report says that Gary was placed in two sets of handcuffs to do his size. This article also says that since Gary is the more dependable and stable parent, he has been awarded custody of daughter Leah. Not because of the antics of her arrest but because of vandalism that had been done to Amber's home and car reports TMZ.
Last but not least, a quick recap of the finale of "The Glee Project." It eneded up being a final four and everyone turned out a winner, even those I don't think should have. Both Samuel and Damien get a 7 episode guest spot while Alex and Lindsay get a 2 episode guest spot. I prefer Sam and Damien to either Lindsay or Alex, and lets hope all the spots are different!

Rhianna A Backstabber?
As most of you know, Rhianna has recently come out with a new single, S&M which has become a huge sensation. While I enjoy the song, the message being sung by her frustrates me and upsets me a bit. Remember this?
Rhianna called cops on Brown after a domestic disturbance the night before the grammy's in '09, an incident which is still being talked about today. You can look at the report yourself here from the LAPD. It appears they were argueing in a vehicle and it escalated when the couple exited the car leaving Rhianna with a battered face.
Brown was scheduled to apologize a few months ago in an interview with Robin, but when pressured Brown lost his cool What do you make of all this? Do you think Rhianna did this and created this scam just to get money, fans and sympathy?

Party On!
It seems that I have a great interest in party girls and so today's topic is that of up and coming rock star Ke$ha who has made it pretty big and herself pretty well known in a short amount of time. She is known for her trashy yet glam style and party-girl antics (re-call the hollywood sign vid on her website?).
The other partygoers started off the festivities Saturday night with some ping pong at the Mondrian hotel according to the Yahoo OMG article which can be found by clicking on the title of this post. It is said musician Dan Black DJd this event.
Next to this event, at the House of Blues Ke$ha put on a performance to make money for a charity benefitting HIV/AIDS awareness called Lifebeat. After she ended her performance with "Tik Tok", guests were invited to play an XBox hip-hop dancing game while the crew was setting up for B.o.B.'s performance.

Also, congrats to Mario Lopez who welcomes a newborn daughter. He and girlfriend Courtney Mazza named their newfound bundle of joy Gia Francesca Lopez. (I wonder if she is cuter than Gia Giudicci of RHoNJ?) She was 6lbs and 4 oz.

Its my favorite topic
Hey lovelies! I am so sorry for falling off the wagon again! I am going to work hard to at least post once maybe twice a week depending on my schedule. Possibly more, but I wouldn't talk about it.
Since it has been so long since I last posted, I figured I'd start up with what I ended off with last time: Lindsay Lohan. As we all know, recently Lohand was sentenced to a 90 days in prison but she only served 13, exiting August 2nd. The Yahoo OMG article linked via title reports that she is said to maybe appear on/at the MTV VMAs. The site reportedly recieved their information from E!'s Marc Malkin. Her appearence is said to address her recent rehab, jail stints and troublemaking. Access Hollywood tried to contact reps for MTV were not able to be contacted.
Marc's report can be found here on his blog. He talks about the fact that super funnywoman Chelsea Handler is hosting the event. That could mean big ratings and/or more trouble for the already troubled Lohan.
